Maggie Grace is an American actor who was born Margaret Grace Denig in 1983. Her most well-known roles are Shannon Rutherford, a character on ABC's Lost series and Kim Mills from the Taken trilogy. After her parents divorced, they moved together with their mother to Los Angeles. However, in 2001, despite financial struggles she managed get her first significant performance in the video online series Rachel's Room as the main character. Following her win of a Young Artist Award in 2002 for her portrayal as Murder in Greenwich of 15 year aged Martha Moxley as a murder victim, Grace was able to win. Grace Rutherford, a character in Lost from 2004 until 2005 was nominated for a Screen Actors Guild Award. Grace decided to leave the show in order to focus on her professional film work. The actress had been on the show with Tom Welling opposite in The Fog back in 2005. The actress starred in Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club in 2007 as well as Taken (2008) with Liam Neeson. The actress reprised her character as Kim Mills in Taken 2 (2011) and Taken 3 (2013).She also played Alice in Malice in Wonderland, a contemporary adaptation from Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. The debut of Gyllenhaal as a filmmaker and writer came in 2021 when she wrote The Lost Daughter, a psychological drama in which she won the Venice International Film Festival Best Screenplay Award. In addition, she received an Academy Award nomination for Best Adapted Screenplay.
